Play indicator/progress bar won’t disappear on home recordings

Am I missing something here? When playing back recordings from the TV, the play/progress bar stays on the screen. Most other devices/apps usually make it disappear within a few seconds . Isn’t an app issue or is there a button that needs pressed on the remote, or a setting somewhere?
It doesn’t seem to happen every time , but I’m having to quite playback and go back in, and sometimes it will go, other times it stays on screen. Grrrr. Help!

Normally the back button on the remote would clear.

I have the same issue, I have discovered that it only happens when there are others programs in the series still to view, lower down on the page. I have also discovered that two "down" presses, followed by two "back" presses achieves the desired result. Guess it will be fixed in the fullness of time.

@Plumie @Thank you. This worked. Hopefully a software update might come in the future so others don’t have to guess!

This happens to me too, mostly after several rewinds and forwards. I've found that powering off and then on again via the remote, then reselecting the recording generally does the trick ... until the next time.

I’m getting it too? Really annoying as my mother is very anti-tech she’s hating this bug.

Might have to get a freesat box just to satisfy her

it's sooo annoying, can only get rid of it by opening the TV guide, watching something for half a second, then back to My TV and recordings to continue watching

I posted about it many times, but the devs made me out to be a liar essentially, as they couldn't replicate it, yet here we are
