No idea what any of the Sky stuff does, but the EE TV Pro box we have does everything we want - 1 TB multi tuner, 4K, Atmos, all the apps, inc Apple TV+, and the Mini Box has brought our kitchen TV back to life.

All for £12pm discounted, inc Netflix HD w ads, and Now TV Entertainment.

No brainer really.

@Ray4850 wrote:

Is the box pro as bad as some say on here regarding changing from sky, thinking of leaving sky but being put off by some of the comments.

Yes.

Different range of channels, no connection between boxes (unlike Sky Q), much lower quality UX, doesn’t have “all the apps”, some catch up apps it does have run lower quality versions (itvX and Channel 4), frequently misses the end of recordings, the list goes on.

Stick on top of that the multitude of issues with EE systems and a lack of knowledge amongst their staff about how the product works and yes, it is a mess.

Cheaper? Yes. A competent TV service? No.

And I say this as someone who has been running both EE TV and Sky Q side by side for years.

Massive caveat: But it depends what you really want. Sky are not in a good place, value is tanking, the new products (Glass and Stream), are plop and they are suffering from many technical issues (including on Q).

I would stick with Sky all day long, but only at the right price, otherwise change by all means but adjust your expectations accordingly. Even a poor quality Sky product eats EE TV for breakfast in terms of usability and breadth of content.
