My tv box minis also drop off the WiFi frequently, pulling out the power cord fixes it but surely they can release some new firmware to address the stability?

Hi all

I have recently purchased ee tv and broadband. Upstairs in my bedroom I have the ee tv mini box but for the last 2 nights now I have come up to bed and turned the tv on and it showed a connection error. My phone clearly has WiFi but twice now I have had to factory rest the box to get the box to work.

Has anyone else had this problem, I don't want to keep having to factory reset the box and re install everything every night I go bed.

I think this is a known issue and they are going to issue a fix soon

There's no known issue that would require a factory reset - simply rebooting the box (turn the power off and on) should fix it.

I have tried that and that makes no difference. Clearly I shouldn't have to be switching my box on and off every night either?

There is a known bug with the TV Box Mini when used with an EE Smart Hub - it causes the Wifi driver to crash, leaving the box offline until it's rebooted.

An updated Wifi driver is being tested now, and will be released as soon as it's confirmed that it improves the situation.
