Installing Additional Apps On EE TV

Just set-up our EE TV Box Pro and Mini Box. All working fine. Does anyone know if you can add additional apps to those already pre-installed? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

HI - I am a new user of EETV, with a Pro box. Does your reply include free to view apps? I want to download "The Chosen" app, which gives free viewing of the seasons of "The Chosen". Can I add that app, or do I have to connect my smart phone to the TV to watch it?

@TonyCromer The only apps you can watch via are the ones installed already you can not download and install apps yourself. Plus the simple fact is where are you going to download this from there isn’t a store to get apps from.

I've taken the package that includes Discovery plus but the app isn't there how do I watch what I'm paying for ?

What device are you trying to watch it on? The discovery+ app is available on EE TV Boxes.

Is it connected to your BT or EE broadband? Do you see the EE logo in the top right corner on the main menu?

@AngieMacA14 You can't add any additional apps that are not on there

To install any apps you like you'd need to swap you pro box for an apple TV box, but you can't record on the apple TV box.

If recording is important to you, you could have a firestick you could use that for any apps you don't get on the pro box.

It does, unless it’s one of the EE Apple TV boxes; all the YouView derivatives, Box Pro, Box Mini, can only have the apps that YouView put there.

If you have a smart TV, you can probably put the Disney app on that.

If you can’t though, then a Roku Express 4K, £40, added to a spare HDMI port on the TV, will bring you the Disney app.

Unless others notice the very small and grey ‘In response to’ (which, mea culpa, I didn’t until I checked your correction) they may fall into the same error as me, of thinking the reply is to the post above it, and not to a different one.

You say that but I have set up my box and Disney plus is not one of the preloaded apps despite what you say.

Disney+ is not currently available as an app for YouView boxes @DoctorB
