That's my wife's phone number but don't know why it's the default instead of mine. OK, thanks' for the info Darren so my boxes should still work OK then; although I've found the mini boxes to be a bit flaky anyway! Can't stand the constant add's on streaming services which can sometimes can add 15 or more minutes to an hour's programme so I'll have to look at cost of upgrading to Standard. I appreciate Netflix have to make money but I see this as a downgrade in service for me. Why did EE accept a downgrade with add's as their standard/legacy Netflix service when most don't want them anyway.

I have received an email from Netflix stating that it’s retiring it’s basic plan & that, from October 28th , my EE TV included plan will be switched to their standard plan with adds (no adds with my current EE plan) & streaming to just 2 devices. I’m currently able to stream Netflix to all the TV’s in my home + my laptop when I travel & to any hotel smart TV that has a Netflix capability. I’ve heard nothing at all from EE so how does this affect my EE TV contract?

You should have received an email from EE on September 21st providing the same information.

The limit on your current Netflix Basic subscription is a single device - the limit has actually been increased to 2. It's referring to the number of devices you can use at the same time though - you can use as many devices as you'd like, but only 1 of them at a time.

@karis6197 would you mind forwarding the Netflix email to me please at eetvsupport@ee.co.uk ? Just so I know what wording they've used, and I can make sure we're prepared to help any other customers out.

Nope didn't receive any email from EE, only Netflix & that went to my wife's phone rather than mine & I'm the account holder. I have a legacy BT email address so that might account for it as I've recently had tremendous problems accessing My BT legacy account (now solved, sort of). So, I'm not really clear what this means; I currently have a TV master box + 2 x mini boxes connected to 3 different tv's. I currently can use all of them for Netflix but never had cause/tried to stream to all at the same time. I also have a Smart TV in the Kitchen which I stream to, will this affect streaming to those? And what about streaming when I travel? What's with the adds then, they are a real PITA &, currently, I don't have to watch any!

Industry statistics show that most customers are happy to watch ads to keep the price lower, so this is now the default. Paying the difference via an add-on gives everyone the choice.
