I have HBO MAX through NOW TV with EE and want to upgrade to it without ads.

Contacted HBO who advised they cant upgrade it and has to be done through EE.

EE have advised the basic with ads is the only option available with NOW TV which I think is unacceptable especially when you can upgrade Netflix with the package to no ads.

I tried opening the HBO MAX app on EE TV rather than going through NOW. I have an HBO account and everytime I tried to renew my subscription through the app it would not let me.

If it can't be upgraded on NOW, EE should at least allow the app to let us upgrade.

I did raise a complaint but have heard nothing back.

@HazSte That depends if HBO wants to allow EE to offer this. EE can’t just go offering services without the content owners permission.

You have HBO Max through Now TV - nothing to do with EE. EE do not sell HBO Max entertainment packages - only TNT Sports. EE are not allowed to sell HBO Max Entertainment packages.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any way to upgrade the free package you get with NOW. You'd need to just buy the package directly.
