How do I access NHK World on EETV?

I recently swapped BT for EE and have upgraded my package to include some extra channels. However I can't see a package where its possible to add NHK World?

When I have EETV on I can navigate to NHK (channel 272). When I select the channel it says what is being broadcasted, with a screensaver showing the NHK logo. There is no information on how to add the channel to my subscription.

Any help appreciated!

NHK isn't available on EE TV, and won't work on the EE TV box.

However if you have apple tv box there is an app for nhk world. But that's nothing to do with EE and if used obviously any issues with it will be down to nhk themselves.

It's always worth doing your research before recontracting as alot of channels aren't available through EE TV where they may be available through other services.

Over the last few years for EE TV free to air channels in IP mode anyway, 1 channel has changed, 1 has been added and that's taken 4 years for those to.happen. Progress has been slow for EE TV on that front.

@sss295 You can I believe watch NHK World on EETV boxes via its international channel which is available via YouTube "@NHKWORLDJAPAN" .

@DarrenDev I'm not entirely sure what is offered/returned on the EETV Box Search these days but is the option to Search YouTube a current option if you enter a search string.?

Which channel has changed and what one was added?
to be honest I find the lineup suits my needs but that wont suit everyone else.

comparing to sky stream, im really only losing the following (note: not that I watched all these im just comparing):

'great' set of movie channels and Movies 24 <-- Watched occasionally
the four QVC shopping
the small handful of 'now' music channels <-- definitely used these
Sky Sports UHD <-- yes it is coming, and im fairly confident it will.
some U& channels
Discovery suite of channels.
selection of news channels.

for me I always preferred the lighter service EE offers.

i mean it's comparable to Freely, and there isn't much difference (if you cut out the lesser known FAST content channels)

@R-Biohazardx9 I do like the talking pictures, great and the free U channels so it's a pity that they aren't available on EE TV yet.

I do agree that the EE TV experience is a good service in terms of use, but it has just been a bit stagnant.

I can agree with you on that. needs a it of an update in terms of content.

having checked freely (which i think freely and EE use same software I think?) - Great, U& and some others are missing but can be added.

Also think there should be something in the app that detects the presence of the boost / 4K or at least let you chose. the ability to hide the non HD variants and trim down the duplicates (we have two sky arts, one via now and one via freeview, and three Sky News channels) don't really want to favourite the whole EPG either.

EE TV and Freely don't use the same software (though the software used for each is written by the same company).

@zulu17 I don't believe YouTube search results are included in unified search, but I could be wrong.

aha yes so thats why there are similarities. Thought there must be a connection somewhere. just you kinda notice shared UI elements etc.
