Hello

I am currently a subscriber of both EE broadband and EE TV my TV contract is due to end in October, I stopped using the TV service a while ago and considering cancelling it, I know there would be a charge, my question is can you cancel the TV plan and still keep the broadband, the broadband has different contract end date to the TV, I am happy to keep the broadband it's just the TV I want to remove, does anyone know what the cancellation costs would be? I know I'll have to call EE this was so I had a rough idea

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Yes the TV and broadband will be treated as separate contracts, as for cancellation costs it will depend on your package / what you are paying - only EE will be able to advise of this

You still need to give 30 days notice even when out of contract. I assumed that the contract ended on end of contract date but not the case. When you speak to EE to cancel, bear in mind you will be charged for the remaining notice period.

It is better to consider the so called "contract length" as "the minimum term" which is what the legal terms and conditions agreed to call it. The contract continues after the minimum term until cancelled [with appropriate notice]. It does vary by product, my TV minimum term ends about a year before my broadband as I extended the latter, and many add-ons can be cancelled inside that minimum term.

All sorted called them up and they raised a cancellation for my TV subscription straight away without any issues, had to give them the 30 days noticed and there was a early cancellation fee which I was fine with which was around £95+vat

My EE TV (formerly BT) TV contract expired on 16th June 2026 after 24 months duration, and was taken out when BT installed my broadband at my new flat as a combined TV & BB package.

I told EE that when the contract expires I want to run out the additional 28 days notice, which should mean that by 16th July the TV should no longer be billed to my account. I have just paid for this month's BB & TV on 24th July so I am just wondering why it is still showing on my account as a potential charge for next month bill due on 24th August?

I have already disconnected the box and cables ready for it to be returned to EE, yet the return postage bag to send the equipment back in has still not been delivered/sent/arrived? And what runs additional salt in the wound is that my login for my NOW TV account through my BT / EE subscription is still valid and operating.

I have done everything by the book including informing EE of my intent to end the contract and services whilst accepting the additional 28 days after the contract has ended, I have not used it since 12th July but I'm concerned by several factors:

It is still active on my EE account (TV package) as of 26th July 2026 and I still haven't received anything to return the equipment in, SOO... do I need to be concerned and do I need to get in contact with EE customer services ASAP..?

Hi @Scombes,

Thanks for visiting the EE Community

Unfortunately based on what you are saying it does sound like something has gone wrong with the cancellation, as your TV package should have stopped working and you also pay in advance for your TV and broadband so if you have paid a recent bill in full for TV that would be covering the month in advance past the date of cancellation.

I would get in touch with our team so that they can investigate your cancellation request to help get it all sorted for you.
