I can see your box now, and it's reporting a marginal connection - only just able to connect. Is there anything you can do to better position the router or TV Box? e.g. making sure they're not hidden inside units or behind furniture or ornaments?

Alternatively, give the helpdesk a call and they can discuss options with you - either wifi extenders or power line adapters.

I have had EE fibre broadband and EETV since March 2025, and the TV box has worked with no issues until about maybe 6 weeks ago when it started to disconnect randomly from the wifi with error codes YVM102 or YVM104. I would restart the router and the box and then it might work for a couple of days before doing it again. I have also previous tried reconnecting the box to the hub in the settings menu via wifi-WPS. I could also see this was happening whilst watching live TV as the error message would flash up on screen and then awhile later 'broadband connection restored'. It has continued to happen more and more frequently (everyday, more than once a day), and then last night I tried to reconnect it all for over an hour before I gave up. Everything on the TV box home screen is displaying unavailable YVM102 and this is still the case this morning.

I see someone else posted a similar issue a few days ago, and it was suggested that they change the wifi band but I'm not seeing this as a menu option for my hub (Smart Hub 6 Plus).

I would appreciate it if anyone has any other thoughts, or is the box just toast? Hub appears to be fine and other devices are connecting no problem. It's very annoying as it's all worked with no issues for about 14 months.

Thanks.

How far is your TV Box from your router?

It's not possible to change the wifi channel (that other thread was incorrect), so there's nothing you can do to help this other than ensure the wifi signal is as good as it can be, or switch to using wired connection instead.

Unfortunately I can only see how good the signal is when your box is actually connected, however it's currently showing as offline.

Hi Darren - thanks for your reply.

Box is downstairs in living room and router is upstairs in spare bedroom because the fibre here is provided via a cable from the telegraph pole rather than underground. I did initially wonder if it would be OK as the previous BT TV box was connected via wire as the old landline connection was in the living room (so therefore the hub was too) but as I say everything has been fine for over a year. Not sure what has changed, everything is set up as it was.

I wondered about getting a wifi extender / booster / similar, or at least getting a very long ethernet cable to test the theory (not that an ethernet cable draped throughout the house is a solution).

Box is on now if that helps?

Hi @ellemcee - when it's convenient for you, please could power your router off, then back on.

Once you have completed this, please let me know if you continue to see the YVM102/YVM104 errors following the reboot. or whether this fixes the issue for you.

Some recent changes have been made and it will be interesting to see if you continue to see the issue after this reboot.
