Hi,

Can somebody please help. I am getting the error message that we have too many TV boxes connected to our broadband. We only have 1 x Pro Box and 1 x Mini Box. Just moved over from BT to EE. It has worked fine since installation in the first week of September, and now comes up with this error. (BTP-16500, IPC6007).

I cannot play Freeview channels like ITV or BBC, let alone the TV package I am paying for?

Any thoughts.

Thanks,

Angus

Just press OK on the message to transfer the subscription to this box. It should only do this a maximum of 2 times, just to make your 2 boxes as the main 2. I've verified that your account has the correct 2 box subscription it, so it won't show again after that (unless you factory reset them, at which point it'll just again once more).

Hi Angus,

Press the Home button on EETV remote control,Select Apps and choose EETV App and wait to load then click on setting on top right hand and then choose the option EE reset Data player and then follow these steps on both Probox and Minibox.

It will fix the issue.

Hi DarrenDev,

EE sent 2 TV Box Pro boxes. I spoke with the EE guides who say I can use these for my 2 Box subscription. However, I'm up to 5 'make this the primary box' actions on each.

I can watch HD channels on both at the same time after doing this. It seems to happen when switching the first Box on after both being on standby overnight. Sometimes it's on first channel change of the day.

Any advice? Thanks.

I’m having the same annoying issue. I had to have my box pro replaced as it was faulty. I have a new box pro and one mini which used to work fine. Since the new pro box was installed my mini won’t play tv upstairs.

it did before and I’ve never had to pay for multi room. I was told it was free. What’s happened to change this other than having to have a new box?

If you have two boxes, a Pro and a Mini, then EETV have to give you free Multiroom for them to work.

I might conjecture that when the Box Pro was replaced, it went out without the corresponding Mini (naturally) and this caused your Multiroom to be erroneously removed by EETV.

Except that the lack of Multiroom is no actual barrier to using two boxes, you just have to keep swapping which is the principal box.

But you are saying the Mini won’t play (at all?). So what happens when you try to use it? What error message do you get? Does the issue only happen when the Box Pro is doing something where it has to stay the principal box?*

*Fellow experts, is that even a thing?

Hi all,I have recently moved from Sky Q to EE TV,

I had a few issues with the broadband following installation but all appears to be okay now.

I have the main TV pro box in the living room and then I purchased 2 X mini boxes outright for a couple of the bedrooms

I'm getting the infamous too many boxes message which I can resolve by accepting the on screen message asking me to resolve the issue by changing the mini box I'm using to my main box.

I rang EE yesterday and they said they could help and they said they could but it would cost me an additional £10.00 per box.

Seems rather expensive,I thought from what I have read it was around £5 per mini box or in some cases free?.
