I have joined EE today and when the broadband and TV boxes are installed I will have the Big Sport package. I was told by the sales advisor that I could access NOW TV and HBO Max from today. I have registered with NOW TV and that is working. I already had HBO with my SKY package and whatever I try it will not allow me to register for the new package including the sport. I am presuming it is because I am an existing customer through SKY. How do I get registered for HBO, one of the main reasons for the change, apart from cost, was the sports package.

Hi @Romech

HBO subscriptions are stackable so you can have multiple on your HBO account. I have one linked to NowTV and one linked to EE for TNT with the same username.

Have you activated your subscription via EE as per the information here: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/TV/TNT-Sports-or-HBO-Max-read-this-first/td-p/1610026

Also as an FYI you can watch TNT channels via the EE app as per the information here: https://ee.co.uk/help/tv-sport/tnt-sports/set-up-my-tnt-sports-subscription

@Romech I can see your HBO subscription still waiting to be activated, so you need to visit https://id.ee.co.uk/ , login with your EE ID, select Plans & Subscriptions, then TV & Sport. You'll see a button there to Start Activation for TNT Sports on HBO Max.

As you've also chosen to add the Entertainment add-on to your Now TV account, you can also choose to enable the Entertainment subscription on HBO Max, as follows:

Open https://www.nowtv.com/gb/help
Click 'Need Help' in the bottom right corner
Select 'TV'
Select 'Entertainment & HBO Max' Membership
Select 'Yes' (as you have a Now Entertainment & HBO Max extra on your account)
Select 'I'm an EE TV customer'
Select 'Link my account so I can watch in the HBO Max app'
Select that you have Now Entertainment & HBO Max as add-on/extra
Click 'Link Now account'
HBO Max web page opens
Log in to HBO Max with the account you've already set up
You can now use your HBO Max Basic with Ads subscription across devices in your HBO Max account

Hi Darren I tried to follow your instructions and I have managed to get HBO on the NOW TV app. However it is without the sport. I tried the first part of your solution, when I pressed subscriptions I got a BLOCKED message. The app then wouldn't let me access anything else. Many thanks for your assistance.

Are you able to be more specific on the sport activation? You've said "when I pressed subscriptions I got a BLOCKED message". Can you please confirm the exact point of failure:

Log into https://id.ee.co.uk/
Select Plans & Subscriptions in the top right corner
Select Manage, under the TV & Sport section
Select Start Activation under TNT Sports

If it's after this, can you please confirm what web site it shows in the browser bar at the top? I'm wondering if you have a privacy tool installed that is blocking the redirect or cookies?

I have got a little further this time. It now says 'we're building your package'. I pressed Activate TNT sports. The advisor that sold me the package said it would be available yesterday. Thanks.

TNT Sports is available now. You say you pressed Activate TNT Sports - this should start the process to add TNT Sports to your HBO Max login. So has it worked?

The "We're building your package" thing is just because your broadband and TV accounts won't be fully active until your activation date.

Hi Darren Sorry I have had no ability to get the access code for the last 24 hours. No it didn’t work. HBO is on my NOW TV account but is still without the sport. The channel list does not include TNT and on HBO Max all sports events are asking me to get access. Thanks for your continued assistance.

It said you will be sent to the HBO website to complete the activation, that doesn’t happen.
