In broad terms, UK TV services are intended for use within the UK and often come with restrictions on usage abroad - which the Republic of Ireland is.

I suspect what you're coming across, is likely to be EE's implementation of those restrictions. But if you can clarify exactly which service you're trying to use, that would help confirm.

Hi @Maysey75

Welcome to the community.

When you say you are trying to access EE TV in Ireland, are you using the EE TV app or the Web Player?

Generally the EE TV access would require a UK IP address to be able to access the live content.

What are you seeing when you try to view it?

UK rights holders don’t give you the right to watch their stuff in foreign countries.

I believe some viewers use VPN’s and other workarounds to circumvent such restrictions.

The only way to do it without violating content rights would be to download movies or box sets on your device whilst still in the UK - you can then watch downloads offline from anywhere in the world.

Streaming of channels or on demand content from outside of the UK is not allowed.

You asked Why should I?

I am paying for a TV service, before I went to EE TV, I had Sky and was
able to watch TV on Sky Go without any issues in the ROI.

This is a major problem for me as i travel quite a lot and this issue will
push me back to Sky TV.

That's just how content rights work @Maysey75 - there's nothing that can be done about it. You're paying for a UK TV service, for use in the UK.

If it worked with Sky Go then that's a fault - it shouldn't have. Their rights have the same restrictions as ours. You would need a Sky Ireland subscription.
