topic Switching from EE to Sky in TV

In September last year I enquired at the Didcot EE about switching to EE from Sky. Lewis explained to me that he would arrange the switch and assured me that EE would pay any outstanding contract to Sky. I was very impressed with the offer of £32 per month for broadband TV and landline.

Sky contacted me after the switch and told me I had to pay £45 per month up to 2027 as I was under contract until this time. so now I'm having to pay £77 per month as apposed to £32. I contacted Sky and informed them as I have switched to EE and they said that I was under contract to pay this £45 for the TV. I feel I was misinformed at the Didcot branch that EE would pay any outstanding contract payment.

I am very disappointed with the information from Didcot branch and feel that EE should have paid this contract amount as they said they would. I am no better off financially changing to EE, especially as the payment to you will increase after 6 months.

What do you propose to do about this?

EE will pay up to £300 towards your switching fees, but it's not automatic - they don't contact Sky. It's your responsibility to cancel the service and then pay the final bill, and then EE will issue you with a credit:

https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/early-cancellation-credit
