Afternoon - because of ongoing frustrations with DNS/IP drop outs since August, I've invested in new router which works perfectly - and I have amazing net/service - HOWEVER - I can't sadly connect the router to the EE TV box.

Can anyone help - as it stands atm it cant find the name of the router even as a choice to join - which is frustrating.

Router is Asus GT-AX11000 Pro

I'm not very techy so any advise (in noddy and big ears terminology) would be welcome !! Thank you

Hi Rachel

Navigate to the routers homepage (http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1) and click on WAN. Then scroll right to the bottom and untick Enable VPN+DHCP Connection and click apply. Then navigate to the LAN settings (above the WAN option you just clicked on). At the top you'll see an option for IPTV. Set it to the following:

Select ISP Profile: None

Choose IPTV STB Port: None

Use DHCP Routes: Microsoft & RFC3442

Enable Multicasting Routing: Enabled

Default IGMP Version: IGMP V3

Enable Fast Leave: Disabled

UDP Proxy: 0

That should work after a reboot. I find it performs much better over wifi though rather than via an ethernet cable for some reason.

Hope that helps.

Absolutely no worries. I'm glad it works for you 🙂

I'm not going to promise you that it doesn't occasionally drop out but it works 99% of the time. Enjoy your new setup.

Evening,

I’m having the same problem, I have just switched to a NetGear ORBI33 Router WiFi 7 and the broadband speed and network coverage is excellent but I am unable to watch the EE Live TV channels on the EE Box. All the Apps work on the EE Pro Box i.e. streaming Netflix, NOW, BBC, Discovery etc, and I can see the TV channels along with the TV List but I just keeps giving me a failure message when I click on the channel.

I have done a reset on the box, rebooted the WiFi routers etc but I still keep getting the same issue.

Many Thanks

Mark

have you tried all the ethernet ports? Ive seen a few routers insist on using a specific port sometimes.

Also have you tried connecting the box by wifi? As stupid as it sounds ive got both a TPLINK and an Asus router ive used with BTTV previously. The TPLINK works fine but i can only get the Asus to work with BTTV via wireless.
