topic Interference sound from set top box in TV

I have a low hum coming out of the tv whenever i watch anything through the set top box, no hum when I'm watching something through my firestick or DVD player. I had a new set top box, that didn't help, I've bought a new Hdmi lead, that didn't help, I've tried putting the box through a different input and that didn't help. The TV is only a few years old so that shouldn't be an issue and like i said, it's fine when watching through firestick or DVD.

Any ideas, thanks

Hi @Cardo,

Welcome to the EE Community

That does sound a strange one and not one I have heard before, is the sound coming from the actual TV speakers? Was the replacement box after you got in touch with our technical team about the issue?

Do you have another TV in the house you could try plugging the box into to see if it happens? Do you run the box with an aerial? If so are you able to try setting it up in IP mode instead to see if there is any difference?

Alex
