EE TV Pro remote wont switch my Toshiba TV on/off

Hi, I can see this has come up before but nothing fixes my problem and with tech evolving all the time I thought it was worth starting a new thread. I've just got my EE TV Pro box and have set it up with my Toshiba TV which is only 1 year old. I've managed to make the two 'talk' so that the EE remote changes volume etc but cannot get it to switch the TV on & off .... it's just annoying as seems a step back from Sky (in many ways) ... can anyone help? I've rebooted things, resynched remotes etc but ... nothing!

If it changes the TV volume then that's it paired.

To turn the TV off, you just need to hold the power button on the remote for more than 1 second.

If it doesn't turn the TV off then there's nothing that can be done I'm afraid - the remote has chosen the best pairing code it can, and there's no option to make it choose another.

Thank you - that's what I was thinking but good to get it confirmed...two remotes it is then!
