Poor picture quality on TNT Ultimate via Discovery+

Since the recent Discovery+ app update the UHD picture quality on TNT Sports Ultimate (live football) is noticeably poorer, not convinced it's full UHD resolution anymore.

Is this a known issue and is it planned to be fixed? Was still poor for Forest/Chelsea game on Sat lunchtime.

I can actually access the app via 3 devices (EE TV box, Sky Q and Now/Roku 4k box) and same issue on all 3. Not my TV as Sky sports UHD via Sky Q looks excellent as ever.

Not sure if getting TNT via Sky or EE (not via app) boxes would improve, is it just a Discovery+ app issue or a TNT issue?

I don't currently pay for the HD/UHD pack and signed up before this was included for free with Sports, apparently my monthly fee would increase if I added as new pricing higher than deal I'm on, so reluctant to do this unless picture quality better via tv guide on EE rather than through app, I can live with streaming delay but not an inferior picture quality.

Anyone else noticed the reduction in UHD pic quality on Discovery+ since the app refresh in the last few weeks?
