I have got a EE mobile sim only contract and EE broadband . If I sign up for TNT sports £20 a month .

is that option on a contract or can you cancel

any time.

can I stream it on Apple TV device?

The £20 add-on for EE Mobile only has a 30 day minimum period - you can add/remove as often as you like.

A TNT Sports pass from EE Mobile gives you full access to the discovery+ app on any device (including Apple TV).

I assume the same applies to the £20 add-on for EE Broadband customers - to new prospective broadband customers it's advertised as "TNT Sports on discovery+ ... App-only subscription ... monthly rolling contract" , and is presumably available to existing EE Broadband customers too (though perhaps not those with the 'legacy' EE Broadband service).

As a new EE broadband customer, I cannot see a way to purchase this add-on without phoning EE (unless the add-on was selected when initially taking out the broadband contract).

Hi again Lesley!

I was on the phone there with EE for over 1h 20m!! It started with TNT Sports, and then moved on to Broadband issues 🙂

I had to be transferred by the first Guide to a second, with almost a 10 min wait. Hopefully they'll make it possible to buy a TNT Sports add-on through the app & website soon (for EE broadband-only customers).

As you may already know, the add-on costs £20.

It looks like you get discovery+ Entertainment (with "lite" ads) along with TNT Sports, so that's an extra over the £30.99 TNT Sports regular deal, which only provides access to Sports.

Btw of the 3 Guides that I spoke with, only one knew that the BT Group CEO has decided to make both BT and EE available again to residential customers (so BT customers can stay where they are, and new customers can choose between BT and EE).

I've no idea if a BT customer has to currently phone to add TNT Sports to a broadband package, just like an EE customer has to.

That's all for now. I'm away to watch some footie on discovery+ :)))

@Dabmonger I believe BT never discontinued it's broadband and TV (EETV) offerings to new or existing customers. So if you were with BT already you could have remained although there were offers to migrate/move to EE. Many of the issues with EE seem to stem from their (new) systems not yet being able to accomodate some products and not yet having rolled out the ability to make some changes via app or online necessitating the ordering via phone. The older BT systems developed over the years generally allowed you to do it without a phone call a lot of the time.

@Lesley_W, I just made an assumption that they'd closed new business to new customers.

As a summary from AI (it seems to check out as being correct):

BT previously planned to transition its consumer services entirely to EE and Plusnet.
Reason for the original plan:This strategy aimed to simplify the consumer market by having fewer brands.
Reversal of the plan:In early 2025, BT reversed its decision to fully retire the BT brand in the consumer space.
Reason for the reversal:The decision was revised due to concerns that dropping the BT brand could alienate older customers who rely on standalone landline and broadband services.

I was just surprised that two Guides, along with their teams & managers, didn't know about the CEO's reversal.

I understand that EE staff were get commission to move BT customers over, and it looks as though many of those staff aren't aware of the reversal.

Personally, it would be good if the BT and EE systems, websites & apps were totally aligned, with just different styled front ends wrt brand design & identity.

Most importantly of all, allow EE broadband customers to hit a button to buy TNT Sports :)))
