Too many boxes message

We’ve just switched from BT to ee adding a tv mini box in addition to our main box

However an error message saying we have too many devices running keeps popping up

Please advise

It's normal to see it once or twice when switching - if you accept the message to move the subscription, it should then go away. Have you tried this?

Thanks for the prompt reply

Message has come up 2-3 times from each box over the past 2 days following the mini box set-up

It does disappear when we click on the move subscription button…🤞 it has now stopped

Ok great. Please send an email to tv.apps@ee.co.uk mentioning too many boxes and include your EE account number. I'll get that fixed so that it never appears again.

That's it now sorted @Simone5691 - you shouldn't see that message again, unless you factory reset or replace either of your boxes.

@JohnGH I can see you called to ask for another extra box, however your line speed does not support 3 boxes - it needs to be a minimum 40Mbps for an HD subscription, but you currently achieve 32Mbps.

The agent you spoke to didn't understand why it wouldn't allow another box to be ordered, so they created an order to return one of your boxes and send you a replacement.

Your account still only allows 2 boxes, and the box with serial number 7769 is on the system waiting for you to return it.

I've asked a colleague if there's anything that can be done, other than insist the extra box be returned. I'll let you know what he comes up with.
