Pause function on live or recorded tv hangs

Recently changed to EE from BT and had the new EE box.

Since we've had it we get the following problem randomly.

If we are watching either live TV or a recorded program and press pause then randomly the system will become unresponsive when we try to unpause and the only way to resolve it is to change the channel.

As suggested I have done a power reset, A total reset (excluding saved programmes) and made sure the software is up to date.

Anyone else having this issue?

It's not a problem I've encountered before, was it the technical team who suggested those steps you have already tried?

I haven't tried the technical team yet; these were suggestings I found on the internet. I thought I'd try and see if anyone else had come across it. I was worried that if I contact the technical team first they might suggest a new digibox but the old one has all my recodings on it.

If you have done both a software update and done the reset to keep recordings and they have not helped. I would suggest the hard drive has developed an issue and I would do the factory reset delete recoding's which would fit it otherwise a new box may be needed.

Thanks for all your help. My wife does not want to lose our current recordings so I'll leave it at present until I can try a full reset.
