Clock setting on Tv and HD channels connection

I switched from BT to EE two days ago. I have a new Panasonic fly tv which I have set up. The first issue I have is with the clock display which doesn't sync with BMT, it is currently over 9 hours behind.

The second issue is I am unable to get the live HD channels for BBC 2, channel 4 and channel 5. I have followed the on screen instructions and retuned the channels but still no connection. I have connected to the tv aerial which I assumed I would need to watch terestial tv. Please help

Have you taken EE TV service with your Broadband? If so which EETV box do you have?

So the issue is with your Panasonic TV, rather than anything BT or EE related?

Has this TV worked correctly before? Or is this you setting it up for the first time?

Thanks for replying. Setting it up for the first time. I bought this new Panasonic smart tv and I switched from BT to EE broadband at the same time. I set the tv up a couple of hours after the engineer set up the broadband. Followed the instructions from the handbook and tv. I can’t understand why the clock on the saver screen and on the TV guide are 5 hours behind GMT. BBC 1 and ITVX work fine but I cannot get BBC2, channel 4 or 5, BBC Three or BBC4. I have attached the aerial (I was told I wouldn’t need it) and I have retuned several times.

OK, this would be better suited on a Panasonic forum then, but no problem.

I would have expected the TV to automatically set the time based on the TV aerial signal, or at the very worst, synchronised with online when it was connected to the internet. It's possible that it thinks it's in a different time zone? You could try Googling for your specific model of TV to see if there's a guide on how to set the time and time zone?

Regarding the missing channels - that'll be entirely down to the signal that your TV aerial is receiving. There are 4 transmitters serving your area - 2 of them offer a very good signal, 1 is marginal, and the other is poor. It's possible that your aerial is pointed to a less than optimal transmitter? A local TV aerial installer may be able to help. It's odd that you'd have BBC 1 HD but not the others though.

Thanks again. The tv is now fine. Over the weekend the clock automatically changed without intervention and I now have all the HD channels. It must have been teething problems from the broadband switch and setting up a new tv. Thanks for your rapid responses. We are now happy viewers 😀
