Choice time - EE TV or Sky Q

I've got to decide today whether or not to go with EE TV or stay with Sky Q. Few questions though before I disconnect my Sky box ...

Can I still watch U&Drama and TLC? Can you record any shows on those channels?

Is National Geographic available?

Do the EE boxes have an eco mode that switches it off every so often? I found that a pain on Sky Q so I switched it off. I've got the box pro and a mini box.

I know this will save me a fortune but I don't want to ditch what I have for something where I will miss out.

EE TV does not have TLC, National Geographic or any of the U(KTV) stations - see EE TV Channel Guide

Technically EE TV does have TLC as you can watch it live or on demand via discovery+, whilst U&Drama content is available via the U app, but neither can be recorded as they are app based and not in the TV Guide.

If you set up in aerial mode rather than IP, the fairly low quality Freeview version of U&Drama will be on channel
20 and recordable.

The linear National Geographic channel is still contracted to Sky sadly, but content is available via Disney+ if you have a subscription and way of watching it as it remains the main app missing from EE TV (unless you have the Apple TV 4K).

EE TV is cheaper because it isn’t the same, but for some, the trade offs are still worth it for the savings that may be had.
