Can the programme information/preview be turned off in the TV Guide? It now takes up half the screen and I can only see 5 channels at a time before having to scroll down.

Hi @Merluzzo

Welcome I presume you are referring to the recent changes to the EE TV Box PRO / mini.

I think previously there were 6 channels listed when using the guide rather than the 5 you now see before scrolling becomes necessary so not a great reduction.

EETV and Youview boxes don't offer guide customisation other than hiding channels and using filters.

Thank you, I did mean the TV Box Pro. It's just such an inefficient and ugly layout, I was hoping to speed up browsing channels!

Rubbish it was way more than 6. Absolutely dire change as usual that makes the gui significantly less useful, while adding nothing.

Do these guys constantly have to justify their jobs or something? Do they keep getting work experience kids in to work on the interface and feel they have to give them something to do? Absolute **bleep**e.

This is i believe the previous guide layout (taken from the current EE device guide) .. six are shown

Not having the white box overlay with the program information covering the EPG more than justifies the new layout with the information at the top and the (slightly) reduced number of channels shown

It’s horrible and it defaults to opening items in the app even if you have a recorded show.

@Kevgudge If you are referring here to the BBC iPlayer, that is a requirement that has been placed on EETV by the BBC, and there is no way of avoiding it, much as we, and I am sure EETV, would wish to.

I totally agree with you the update is awful !
