There's definitely a chance with the others though - in general if you've paired your EE TV remote to work with your TV set as well as the EE TV box, a quick press will just power off / on the box, whilst a long press will do this for both.

If you haven't already, I'd try doing a reset on your box; if you go for the 'light' option listed on our help page here, it won't affect your recordings too.

Hi

When I press the EE start up button on my remote the blue lite flickers on the box for around 2mins before the tv comes on, what do I need to do to rectify the problem?

Les

Hey there @Ibartdeco51 😊

When you're pressing the button on your remote, is your TV set already on and just displaying no signal until the 2 minutes have passed?
Also does this happen every time you boot it up, or is it intermittent?
Peter

Hi Peter
Thanks for replying.
The tv is always on standby, sometimes displays no signal, after 2mins I’m up and going.
What also happens is when I need to turn off the tv I need to hold down the EE button for around 3-5 seconds or the tv comes back on.
I’ve changed the batteries in the remote, maybe it’s a faulty remote or box.
I’ve only been with EE since Jan at first everything was fine, could it be the Russians.
Leslie

Sent from my iPad
