topic duplicated action from button presses on the remote in TV

Hi all,

I have had an EE TV Box Pro (henceforth known as The Box) for a few weeks now and overall I am very pleased with how it works. I have set it up to receive via an aerial as that's the best option for my viewing habits.

HOWEVER:

I am already getting a bit annoyed by what I can only describe as repeating actions from button presses on the remote. That is I press a button that should cause an action but the Box does the action 2 or more times!!

Some functions don't matter, like if you press and hold the Volume this is what you want to happen but other functions shouldn't auto-repeat.

The most annoying is:

I have discovered the "long press" on the power button that will not only turn on/off the Box but will also turn on/off my TV (connected by HDMI-CEC). This is great except that sometimes (often) this press will turn on the Box and I see the TV start to turn on but then the TV turns off again!!

I have to either turn off the Box and try again or find the TV's own remote and turn it in separately.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

Is there some function that turns a press-and-hold into an auto-repeat?

If so can I turn this function off or change the time it waits before auto-repeating?

Thanks for your thoughts

PhilipJ

Hey @philipj451!
Thanks for reaching out to us about this 😊

This isn't a feature I'm aware of with the Pro Remote, so let's see what we can sort here.

Have you had a chance to give the remote a reset by holding the home and 9 buttons until the light on the front of the box flashes purple 3 times?
Peter

You could just press the button less hard.

Thanks
