I am travelling to Ecuador shortly and know that I can buy a 7 day roaming pass. However, part of my trip will take me to the Galapagos Islands and I wanted to know if these are covered by the same roaming pass and what the coverage is like.

The Galapagos Islands are part of Ecuador, and thus the Ecuadorian networks would also operate there. You may be able to find coverage maps by Googling for the individual operators and trawling their websites - Telcel, Movistar & CNT

I have no idea how accurate or current, https://www.nperf.com/en/map/EC/-/-/signal?ll=20&lg=0&zoom=3 is

Remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave the UK, to enable access to foreign networks - assuming you're on pay-monthly.

I found EE services did not work at all (even 2G) in Ecuador including Galapagos. (No service displays) EE struggled to admit this but supplied a link to 4G reciprocal agreements

https://ee.co.uk/content/dam/ee-help/Help-PDFs/roaming_networks_072020.pdf

which showed none. They checked roaming was international and spend cap sufficient and removed a block!

EE support kept suggesting I phone them which is tough when the service doesn’t work.
