Welcome to the community.

I understand that this isn't ideal for your situation, but you can only buy a roaming pass once you arrive at your destination.

I recommend taking a look at our get ready to roam page to make sure your son's phone is fully set up for roaming before travelling, and checking out our roaming tool for prices of add-ons.
