Having roaming activated on your EE a/c, not just on your device, is crucial to using your contract SIM abroad.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Otherwise if you are on contract you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. using a web-calling app over WiFi.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Anyone else have problems buying roaming data in Japan? I didn't receive the usual txt from EE when l landed in Japan( ie giving you link to daily roaming charge, so can't set it up.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You reference the "usual txt from EE" which tells me you've roamed previously. Have you used your phone outside the EU in the past? Roaming can be an EU-specific/global toggle.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you haven't roamed outside the EU, your account settings may be EU-only.. CS can confirm this&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you have, try manually selecting a local network rather than waiting for automatic to do the trick.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
