What is your basis for saying "roaming is on"?

You mention about not being able to call EE "without a network", but also refer to having received the welcome text - this would need a network connection, and thus roaming must be on.

Roaming means using your phone on a foreign network, which enables calls, texts & mobile data.

I've just landed in San Fran and can't connect o any non wifi' internet. My airplane mode is off, Roaming is on and I've tried texting EE the cue up responses but the messages don't send. When I try and click the data add on message I did get when I arrived, that won't load. I seem to be stuck in a circle as I also can't call EE without a network. Have restarted the phone 5 times. Anyone got any advice, thanks!

Hello @Jamie10110 ,

Welcome to the community,

Are you on pay as you go or contract? If on pay as you go, then roaming is automatically enabled, if on contract did you make sure that roaming is enabled on your account?

Did you receive the welcome message from EE?

I take it you did not, also have you disabled automatic network off and cycled through the different networks to see if you get any network?

This would only be worth trying if you have enabled roaming on your account if on contract with EE, as pay as you go roaming is automatically enabled.
