Same problem for me. I live in Türkiye. 6/7 months ago, EE stopped working here consistently. Sometimes I'll have a week it works, then it won't work any longer for a few weeks. İt works in every country. Even I get signal while on the plane and get welcome texts to Bulgaria, Slovakia etc. Works in the UK when I return and other European countries but just zero signal in Türkiye and can't register to networks. Spent hours and hours on phone to EE and they have no idea what they're doing. They run you through the 1) restart phone 2) register network. Doesn't work, try again. How about they check their service there. That would be a good idea as it's not just us. Many complain about this on Reddit and expat groups. Need to cancel EE on next return and move networks i think.

Hi @Eskibeat

EE is a UK network SIM and it seems from your post you would be better off with with a more local provider rather than a UK SIM.

Some time ago EE took steps to stop certain Sim services abusing the roaming facility which was used for streaming football etc in bars and such. Turkey is not in the EU and as such is international roaming.

EE is a UK operator, roaming services are intended for those taking short trips abroad - not those long-term resident.

If you live in a foreign country, you should have service from an operator local to that country.
