Query re data -roaming inside EU

I have an EE account for two mobile phones - one I use and the other my wife uses. She was in Portugal on the 1st and 2nd of May this year. I was not with her, and neither was the phone I use. She made two calls on her phone, for which I have been charged as follows:

'2 May 2025 (1) data-roaming inside EU Portugal £2.590

1 May 2025 (1) data-roaming inside EU Portugal £2.590'

Precisely the same charges appear on the on the phone I use, which was with me in the UK. Is this not an error? I enquired of EE (via text to 150) but have had no response. Can anyone explain it?

£2.59 is the daily charge for inclusive roaming within the EU - covering use of calls, texts & mobile data.

If you have been charged for roaming in the EU, on a phone that was not used within the EU on the relevant day, that's a billing error.
