I checked my plan and it says I have free Roaming in Norway and can use my allowance same as here. I then clicked to set up Roaming and followed the instructions. I was then messaged saying I was set up for roaming but it would cost £2.59 for 24 hours or £15 for 7 days!

how can this be correct when EU roaming is included in my plan?

Any advice appreciated.

If it won’t work check your spend can is set to £20. Apparently it need to be to work abroad.

Welcome to the EE Community

Was it via your online account you checked if your plan included the EU roaming? Had you then sent something via text and got the reply about the daily charge?

Just to check what is your plan name and what date did your plan start as that should help to confirm if you have EU roaming included.

Hi thanks for replying.

My plan name is Essential Plus Sim Unlimited 24m Start date 7th November 2024

i checked online and it said EU roaming was included. I specifically checked Norway and it said it was included and I could use my plan abroad. It was then I went to the drop down to set up Roaming and text Roaming to 150, when it came back and said I was set up but there was a fee either daily or weekly!

@Kendo44 Thanks for confirming those details. Yeah an Essentials Plus will include roaming in the EU. So you will be able to use your phone in Norway no extra cost, the information in your online account is correct.

With the Essentials Plus it is built into the plan itself so there is nothing additional you need to activate it will just allow you to use your plan automatically for no extra cost and the text to 150 has confirmed you have the permissions for roaming setup already.

You can ignore the bit at the end of the text messages mentioning the daily or weekly charge which is just information on what is available for those travelling to the EU who do not have it included in their plan.
