Samsung s25, galaxy pro 5 watch, inclusive plan but not roaming

Hi. I have a galaxy pro 5 watch and a Samsung s25 phone. I switched to ee from sky as sky don't offer watch plans. I'm paying for a contract which includes data plan for watch. Im in Spain and have roaming active, with no cap, on phone but if I try to wapp when my phone isn't near my watch, messages won't send until im back with phone. Point of getting watch plan was to leave phone at home when going beach etc but pointless when can't communicate without phone. Am I doing something wrong? Watch confirms plan active. I didn't attempt in uk first.

Hey @Mlee5.

Welcome to the EE Community 😊

Whilst we offer the option for watch data whilst you're within the UK, as well as a range of roaming packages for your mobile, data roaming isn't currently supported for Watch plans.

This will work independently again once you return to the UK, and you should still be able to connect to data on your phone.

Thanks @Mlee5, I've recently been abroad myself and must admit it's something I forgot about... would have come in very handy when I was in the middle of Amsterdam and found my phone on 5% 😅

If this were ever to change though we'd be sure to let you know!
