Can use it to go on internet and sms but I cant ring anyone in UK or in Greece via mobile direct. EE alleges they are working on issue since 18th April. With no end in sight. Once they trebled their roaming charges it all went to pot, maximum price zero service ...

Nothing. EE has probably not paid roaming charges but left me out to dry....I come for Business first time happened in 25 years. I shut down one account when back in the UK will shut down another two. Its a Mickey Mouse service ...

Have you tried manually connecting to a different mobile network while in Greece?

Mobile Network?
??We have been made aware of an issue whereby some EE Mobile customers who are abroad, and have full signal, are unable to make calls.

Crooked outfit, they back to where they were in 2010 roaming charges all over, its coordinated as EU countries doing the same ..

I have roaming its calls I cant make....its got nothing to do with roaming EE hasnt probably paid local distributors and they have demobilised phone calls....phone companies aint serious they always trying to make a fast buck so they dont give a crap...

It looks like the Community Support Team are here to justify the shenanigans of EE referring to contracts, connecting manually, customer service asked what mobile I have etc. Why dont they have automated updates of service breakdowns with a projected solution? Within two days I have been here 1 week abd still cant make calls ..

@Van1968 , if you are in the UK, you can register and report and have updates if breakdowns of service where you are, but not sure that is possible when roaming, as that has to do with the country you are in, and them giving and us here giving answers to help, is all we can do when you are roaming, not sure what you expect anyone to say. I been flying to Greece on Business for the last 25 years. First time I cannot make call from a mobile. Zero explanation re timeframe.

Probably my mistake must never use company which isnt directly related to local providers ...

@Van1968 , have you tried a manual search for a network? That often resolves the issue. Not sure why you are not able to get a network.

Joke is one of the marketing adverts of EE are supposed to imply that the logo states EE ie Everywhere but in reality its just made up...

If a mobile company doesnt own a local mobile provider then anything goes. Service been out now one full week with no end in sight ...

@Van1968 ,everywhere is meant for the UK, as I wrote, they cannot be held responsible for other countries.

I shall be going on a Mediterranean cruise in June, all being well, and will see if I get network connections where I shall be stopping off, as when we dock near land, should get connection, which I am sure I should, as when abroad, have always had signal.

They dont own any local providers Greek Cosmote is owned by Germany's TT network, Vodaphone has shop oulets in Athens, EE probably had a relationship with Disneyland in France as over a week now still cannot make calls...

Are you sure about that? VodaPHone Greece doesn't exist. Do you mean VodaFone?

How long have you worked in EE's commercial team, out of interest? You seem very familiar with their roaming arrangements, and how networks pay each other.

This is how international roaming works. Apart from a select few regional telecoms groups (VF around Europe, and Singtel in Australasia), the overwhelming majority of roaming agreements are between different companies.
