This would remove the ability to use your phone service at all when roaming in the EU.

You cannot re-add this yourself, so I'd recommend giving our team a call when you can so that you don't lose access to any network.

Lesley

Hi

I cancelled a eu roaming add on, which will now expire at the end of my billing cycle. I assume I can start it again afterwards (offer hasn't expired). That add on is still free? I realised for a brief trip I can turn data roaming off whilst aboard (on mobile settings) to avoid automatic charges (which I am trying to avoid on this occasion).

You will need to call Customer Services on 150 and explain the situation to them.

If you were given this as a loyalty offer or as part of a promotion and chose to remove it, it may not be able to be re-added.

If it was free, this add-on would have prevented you being charged for Roaming in EU Countries, but as you have removed it any usage would be now become chargeable at the daily rate of £2.47 per day.

I don't know what you set out to accomplish by removing the add-on yourself (especially a free one), but your only course of action now is to contact Customer Services and ask to keep this or risk losing it.

Thanks for the feedback and to answer the 'don't know what you set out to achieve'comment, EE was still charging me 2.47 with the add on (I was just trying to work out how to stop it automatically charging me (when my mobile data was off) as per their text message (EE)). 😜

EE was still charging me 2.47 with the add on

If EE were charging you £2.47 / day with this add-on present it couldn't have been for free EU roaming.

EE will charge you £2.47 / day w/out the add-on anyway.

Methinks you tried to remove an unremovable add-on that nearly everybody has. It's an add-on that is itself free to have but gives you the right to roam in the EU at a cost of £2.47 / day.
