On my account I have two phones (mine and my wife’s). Currently, we are both in New Zealand on vacation. Each morning, I go to use the internet on my phone and a message is displayed saying “Android System No Internet. You may be out of data from 2degrees. tap for options” My wife’s phone does not have this issue, despite the fact that I pay for both phones. when I then log in to my EE account, it tells me that my wife’s phone has used 52% of the roaming data and mine has used 1%, but there is no internet.

WHY is this happening ?

What's '2degrees' got to do with it? Don't you get your data from EE?

Are you using a local SIM & mixing it up with EE?

2degrees is the NZ mobile operator - EE do NOT operate in New Zealand.

Does the same issue happen when you manually select one of the other Kiwi operators?

I know, but a NZ network does not provide you with data, as you said in OP, only a mobile connection.
