EE have increase cost to the US by 400% from £25 per month to £25 per week!
vodafone do a vice and data package with a uk number for £22 per month. Works perfectly where calls to and from UK /US are free and it includes 25GB of data.
it's a complete no brainer. Such a shame EE have lost it over recent years they used to be good value for money but have lost it chasing a short term gain for long term loss of customers

I've had the same problem and with the EE cutbacks on customer service it is literally impossible to get hold of someone from the USA. I think they have a policy of making it difficult (or at least they don't prioritise callers from abroad because they get premium call charges when plans are no functioning.
EE have also increased their so called cheaper package costs to the US by 400% from £25 per month to £25 per week!
vodafone do a voice and data package with a uk number for £22 per month! Works perfectly where calls to and from UK /US are free and it includes 25GB of data. You get a new UK number with the package so you can distribute it to friends and family before you leave via email, WhatsApp voicemail message etc.
It's a complete no brainer. Such a shame EE have lost it over recent years, they used to be good value for money are chasing a short term gain for long term loss of customers

@-33333- The no brainer is have a contract that includes this and EE do have such contracts.
