Roam Abroad Inclusive Extra in Costa Rica

I spoke to someone in customer services at the weekend to check if Costa Rica was included in my Roam Abroad inclusive add on. They confirmed that it was and in fact specifically put me on hold to check at one point. I then checked with them if there was anything i needed to do etc on landing and they said no, my phone would pick up the new country and i could use my phone as normal with all allowances in place. This sounded perfect and nice and easy but a colleague was talking about recent issues and I thought I'd double check to be absolutely sure as pretty expensive mistake otherwise. Everything i can find seems to suggest Costa Rica NOT included - keen for a definitive answer! And thought I'd try on here instead!

Costs for roaming in Costa Rica are covered at https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs > Costa Rica > Pay-monthly

You should ensure you have enabled the free roaming facility by texting ROAMING to 150, this unlocks access to foreign networks and ensures your phone has coverage abroad.

Hi there,

Im keen to know if you actually got a definitive answer to this question as I’m heading there in two weeks and it seems very vague to whether our roam abroad pass does in fact cover Cost Rica or not. Thanks
