Welcome to the community,

If on contract, you can use up to 50GB data which yes you will need roaming add on, unless you already have roam further included in your package, then you will have to have the add on.

Please make sure that you have roaming activated on your account before going abroad.

I am travelling to the US at the weekend and spending a week out there.

I am trying to find out whether I can use my current 100Gb of data or whether I need to purchase one of the roaming add-ons.
None of the information I have found to read is very clear and the last thing I want to do is get it wrong and end up with a massive bill when I get home.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Hi @JoeJ81

Welcome to the community.

If you head to the EE Roaming Tool and log in, it will tell you exactly what's included with your plan. There's no danger of incurring charges by using your data there. If your allowances aren't included, you'll be prompted to add a roaming data add-on, rather than being charged per MB.

Please also text ROAMING to 150 before travelling to make sure your SIM is activated for international roaming.

Have an amazing trip. 🙂

If you take the chargeable Roam Abroad pass at £25/billing month, then you may use your UK allowances for voice, text & data - with data having a 50GB FUP.

If you don't take the Roam Abroad pass, then you can choose another data add-on when you arrive, and will not be able to use mobile data until an add-on is inplace. Those options will likely be one of the following..
