Roaming suppliers.

Hi guys and gals,

I’m on EE and I have the £2.47 roaming package (in fact it was added for free as part of my recontract but I guess that’s not important).

My question is, I’m in Portugal and come here around 3 times a year.
When we get here we automatically connect to Vodafone which is rubbish. Only ever get 3G and that’s patchy as hell.
So I’ve been connecting to NOS (Portuguese phone company) instead.
It works fine but is it ok to do?
I mean EE don’t have an agreement with Vodafone do they?
I guess I’m asking is it ok to connect to any supplier while here?

Welcome to the community.

Your phone should connect to the provider that gives you the best signal. You can absolutely manually connect to another one, if you want to. The add-on you have would work regardless of which one you connect to.

that’s all I need to know.
Ot connects to Vidafone for some reason but all the others are much better signal.

I was in Portugal earlier in the year and used NOS too, @ThirtySixteen
