If on contract & your contract started before 07/07/2021 there'll be no charge for roaming in EU.

As you are on contract, just remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.

I very much doubt your plan includes unlimited calls or texts to non-UK numbers. If you're within range of land-based EU networks, and your phone can connect to those, then you will be charged as if you were on-land.

If you connect to any maritime networks, then you'll be charged as per https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/maritimeshipsferriesandcruises

Use of any internet-app, be it WhatsApp, BBC News, Sky Sports, or whatever else, will be charged as data usage - over whatever internet connection you use. I strongly suspect you'll be forced to use the ship's on-board WiFi in this case.
