calls to this number are barred (calling from US on UK mobile), driving me mad

Hi, in the US currently on holiday. UK registered mobile, iphone 16. Everytime I try and call out any number either UK or US or any it says 'calls to this number are barred'. Support are useless. Had the same thing when in China 3 weeks ago. They couldn't resolve then. I cannot use my phone at all for calls out. Calls can come in fine. It is a business mobile, not that it should make a difference.

Billing upto date, roaming activated, spend cap set to £100 so not that. No reason why it shouldn't work. They assured me it would work but doesn't.

Anyone had this before? help greatly appreciated.

Disprove a local network issue, and potentially resolve, by using manual network selection rather than auto.

Test outbound calls on as many as possible.

International call bar would be unusual to affect both in-country & back-to-UK, but something else to eliminate. That may need CS.

tried all other available networks manually. Still cannot make outbound calls. Same issue 'calls to this number are barred from your phone'.

I just don't get it.

I'm sorry to hear that manually switching networks hasn't helped with the troule you're having, and I can understand your concern. I'd recommend getting in touch with our Technical experts who can look further into why this is happening.
