topic £1 talk and text PAYG cancelled by EE with no notice in Pay as you go

I've had a £1 weekly talk and text PAYG pack for over a decade. Yesterday the pack wasn't renewed, despite having credit available.

My local EE shop didn't know why this was happening so suggested I call EE direct. Nice chap from EE told me I wasn't the first call that day about the issue and the £1 talk and text pack has been discontinued, literally overnight.

He explained EE didn't need to give notice as it was PAYG. This doesn't seem right at all on many levels. I had no choice to switch to a monthly PAYG scheme, which I agreed to try for one month. It strikes me customer loyalty means nothing to EE.

Welcome to the Community!

We always want to make sure we offer a range of plans to our customers, and ensure that there is a plan to suit their needs. We may remove some less popular plans, but we would make sure there was an alternative available.
