topic hibernation wakeup. in Pay as you go

I think my phone has gone in to hibernation. It used to be on a contract, but that ended, and it was put on a PAYG. There was plenty of money on the phone, and it let me add more to the account. But I don't use it much; I mainly have it to receive SMS and the occasional call. I am in a wheelchair and don't go out. The phone is my only phone, so it won't send SMS messages to 150 or ring any numbers. Can't find a way of geting in touch with EE, been trying for days now. tried to add boosters or go on a contract, anything to get it to reactevate all failed. Any suggestions?

If you have failed to incur any chargeable usage in 179 days, then hibernation is a distinct possibility.

As per community.ee.co.uk/t5/Pay-as-you-go/What-is-pay-as-you-go-and-flex-hibernation-and-how-do-I-stop-it/td-p/1198642 , you will need to contact EE-CS to reactivate your phone. All your outgoing call attempts should be redirected to 150 to allow this.

If, for whatever reason, this doesn't happen, you will need to call from another working phone. Use 07953 966150.

Yes, thanks.

It won't redirect. I tried to get it to go to EE multiple times.

I was hoping someone could get into it. I received an SMS from EE, but cant send or receive from any others.

I don't know when anyone will call in to my home with a phone to use. I was hoping there was some way to get in touch with EE other than hoping someone shows up at my home with a phone they will let me use in the next few days.

But if that's the only way, OK, I'll deal with it. Maybe it's better just to dump this phone and try to get a new one sent; I will lose the money on this phone. The big thing is all the two-step logins on this number; I can't get into anything now.

Ok, I have ordered a second SIM card and a second phone on Amazon.

Hope now I can turn on the original phone and ring EE on the new one to get the old one unlocked.

(only one sim slot in the phone, so cant turn it on and ring on the same phone, hence having to get a new phone with the simcard)

Like I say, I need the old number to work to get into the Internet 2 stage logins.

Hope this works, it's been a few days of hassle.

It was on contract, but they must have done away with that, and it went payg dont need much. I will try to get it back on contract even if it's a bit of a waste as long as it does not get cut off from lack of outgoing use.
