Do pay as you go credits get refunded?

(I am porting to another network) hi! I just wanted to know if the unused credits in my EE mobile app will get refunded! I tried calling EE, they said that within 8 days of porting the SIM, the funds will be refunded but on community, it says that they will be gone forever.

The PAYG T&Cs cover precisely this scenario, and allow for a refund of unused credit if you specifically request them.
