Exciting news! We've launched our brand new Data Add-ons for PAYG customers.

We've replaced the current Add-ons with our new clearer and easier to understand Data Add-ons.

How to buy add-ons

To buy add-ons:

log in to EE online, or on your device, use the EE app
go to Menu > Add-ons

Or you can choose to pay by topping up your credit using your card or by E-voucher.

These are Add-Ons to top up a Data Allowance when you are running low or have ran out, not to be confused with Pay As You Go Packs which provide your Core Allowances of Calls, Texts and Data on a Monthly Basis.

The £10 pack is currently 500 Mins, Unlimited Texts, and 8GB of Data (boosted to 20GB for 6 Months)

Does this include prepay pay as you go data cards. My 120gb card is about to run out of data and i like the £40 for unlimited for the month - but when i go onto my ee account for my prepay it only gives me the option for a no contract plan, none of the one off or unlimited data options are available - is this only for plans that start from march/april 2025?

Sorry but this only exciting news for EE, not for customers

I've been with EE for about 15 years and others you took over before that

I used to purchase 100mb years ago, then you made it 150mb, then 500mb and the price rose from £1 to £3 in that time but as I was only doing it every few weeks that was ok as it was less than a pack. through I've always felt like data is a total rip off with its 7, 14 or 30 days to use it up.

It would be much better for customers if you let them use the paid data until its gone. My only option coming up on the app which then redirects to the website is to pay £20 for 5gb for a month. that's it. I'm not paying that when I might use 1gb's worth over the month and that's being generous - Now if you said I can use it until it all gone with no time pressure then that would be fine

So I discovered the new rip off options are £3 for 1gb (better than what I was getting previously BUT its for 24 hours only. Total waste of money when I might use 200mb's worth of it during that time...previously I had 7 days to use my 500mb for £3

Unlimited again is just not a good option for me why waste £5 a time to use a few hundred megabytes during that 24 hour period

Next we have 3GB for £9 BUT it has to be used up in 7 days - again no good to me at all or 5GB for £12 again 7 days to use it

The 30 day options are total waste of time for me too as I'm only going to use a few £ worth and be paying out £15

so in conclusion I'm looking for a new network as you have ruined the data add ons for a customer like me. I don't have a pack as again those are a total rip off with the data only having 30 days to use it so I used to just top up as and when and then add data when I knew I might need a bit

As for the app its a total waste of space on your phone as when you try to do anything it just takes you to the website where as in the past you could manage add ons and top ups within the app itself, look at all the reviews on the app store most say its rubbish and for a company the size of EE it should be able to do simple functions

For those thinking just buy a pack. Whilst its cheaper than the rip off data id still be paying out min £10 a month every month rather than topping up £10 every 3-4 months and buying £1-£3 worth of data as and when I need it over that time period

If you was being fair you would say buy £5 worth of data and you can use it over a week, 2 weeks or a month not 1 day. How many people are going to use it up in 1 day and be happy to do that over and over again when they need extra data adding?

@richard1108 : On O2 PAYG you can get All Rounder Bolt-On of 500MB + 20 MMS for £5 lasting 1 month (=28, 29, 30 or 31 days 😉!).
