Can receive calls but not texts?

Hello,

I bought a payg SIM card and put it in an old phone. I got the welcome message from EE, signal is fine and reset the device. But I can't receive any text messages. Some apps require codes to be sent to the number but I can't recieve them? Calls work fine so why would this only happen for message?

Can you send a text message to yourself? If you text NUMBER to 150, do you receive the expected response?

Hey.

Yeah I get an EE response so that seems fine. But still don't receive messages when texted from another number or any apps sending codes

Are the texts from UK mobile numbers and one time passcodes that you do not receive?

Which model phone are you using?

Yes it's other UK numbers that I've had try to message but they don't go through. They can call though.

In this case, please give our pay as you go guides a call and one of the team can check everything at our end and let you know what is needed to get this resolved.
