I purchased a new EE PAYG SIM + Phone less than 2 months ago. I have topped up and purchased £10 packs every week. That should give me 500mins each time.

Somehow this week i've used 1000minutes in 10days. Which is impossible to be honest. I have a basic flip phone so impossible to pocket dial. My phone over the last 30 days has used 60 minutes of outgoing calls.

I called EE who have raised a Fraud case "apparently" which i don't believe as they said i would get a detailed report today. When i called they told me the sim was registered to a Milton Keynes postcode MK9 3AG. Bear in mind i have never registered the phone/sim. Now when i call 150 it doesn't even allow me to topup as someone's upgraded it to a contract. How is this possible considering they don't even have my bank details,

EE support never call back when i ring them, go through 50 different options and request a call back. I have 2FA registered to this number so this is a huge security issue.

To be honest i think EE should refund the phone and all my topups for this. The only people who have my number are my work and family. It's less than 2 months old.

Seems like someone working for EE is doing sim card cloning, possibly purchasing new phones etc through customers. I just want an explanation what's going on. How can someone else be using my minutes and for what purpose. What other data are they getting from me. Why aren't EE investigating this. Or maybe they are and speaking to the scammer. Or maybe it's an EE Employee which would make sense.

I saw on the news funnily enough tonight htat i'm not the only one who's having these problems. Stay clear from EE if you don't want to have your identity stolen

There is no way I used up all my minutes, texts and data. It's play as you go with a rolling to up. I want to cancel my rolling top up. I don't have the money. I should have minutes and texts left ? I can see no way to see this information. It just says 0 credit 0 data. I have no idea how to cancel the automatic top up. In the text it says to go to ee.co.uk for more information and it's just a page of adverts.

Everything is so badly presented it's almost a puzzle. I just want to see what minutes and texts I have left and cancel my auto top up. How is it so difficult???

This is not how pay as you go works.

Hi @Jdom84,

It looks like the 30 day pack you purchased last month has now expired.

If you'd prefer to pay for your calls and texts directly from your credit, please text STOP PACK to 150.

If you choose not to use a pay as you go pack, please be aware you won't be able to use mobile data without purchasing a data add-on.

You can find more information in EE pay as you go plans price guide - March 2023.

Hope this helps. 🙂

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?
