The £10 pack gives you 500 mins, unlimited texts & 8 GB data. There is an offer in the EE online shop at the mo' for a new PAYG SIM with the £10 pack having 20 GB data. You wouldn't be able to take up that offer on your existing SIM after you cancel your contract & have it converted to PAYG. I know of nowhere where it states that the £10 pack, or any other, is text only.

You need no PAC. They are for porting to other networks. You just call CS to give 30 days notice of cancellation & ask for it to be moved to PAYG. At the end of the 30 days your existing SIM will have a PAYG plan. You may have messed up or delayed the cancellation by getting a PAC. It's usually cancel or PAC but not both.

I am an existing EE Customer and my current contract expires next week. I am looking at trying out a Pay As You Go Sim Only Pack at £10 per month (I use my mobile very little, do not stream, or watch movies and use very little date - my current data is 5GB which I have never exceeded).

I have looked at the Subscription Packs and find some confusion or contradictory details, so could anyone clarify this for me:

1. The information on the £10 Per Month Pack (I am looking at a Sim only deal to try it out,as I do not want to enter into a 24 month contract) states 500 mins calls, (I am aware that usually rates for PAYGO are normally higher), but in other documents it states that it is Texts only - which is it?

2. I want to keep my existing EE mobile number (I own the phone and have no wish to change it) - I have a PAC number from EE (as I have informed them I may be leaving - possibly to try 'Smarty' but their reviews are "worrying"), but do I need this to get a Pay As You Go Sim, the sign up documents appear to say that you do not enter your current number until you have received and activated the Sim - seems a bit strange, but is that correct?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

You'll keep your current no. when you cancel your contract & ask to be moved to PAYG.

If you elect to get a new PAYG SIM you can ask CS to transfer your current no. to it. This will auto cancel your contract. So do this after your min. term expires.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.
