Appalling service - PAYG not delivered, can't contact anyone to cancel

EE, what gives?

Ordered a PAYG SIM and it wasn't delivered. Trying to cancel and no one wants to take repsonability to cancel the order and refund me. An hour spent on the phone constantly getting disconnected, web chat don't want to know. You appear to be having very serious issues with basic business practices.

Please contact me to cancel and refund this order as I have gone with a more competent provider who actually has facilities in place for customers to contact them if needed.

This is not customer service but a public forum and we have no account access and do not know who you are.

Sim cards are sent by second class post, so depends how good the post is where you are.

If yours have photo ID and are near an EE high street store, you can get one there.

The SIM card delivery (or lack of) was just the tip of the iceberg.

EE customer service is absolutely shocking. Don't need to go to an EE high street store as I've opted for a provider that actually has customer support and actually has a 5G service to boot. They must have sent their SIM via a proper postal service and not 2nd class as it arrived already.

Appreciate this is a community forum, but a good place to warn people before thinking of joining the appalling service that is EE. A very expensive service that clearly cuts corners to the determent of the service it is supposed to provide (how very BT)

I didn’t check - all I know is it arrived.

as I said, irrespective of the SIM not arriving (never a great experience when a company cheaps out on things at the start of a relationship), getting hold of anyone to cancel the SIM and get a refund is proving impossible.

Ok, so yr comment "they must have used a proper postal service" wasn't based on any facts then. Same goes for "cheaping out"

EE have their faults, but I don't see how you can conclude anything from yr experience. Good luck with your new network - be sure to post back how they handle your first off-script problem.

Apart from the very definitive fact that it actually arrived 🙂

first and only issue so far resolved in 5 mins. Wait time around 7 minutes on chat. Verification codes didn’t come through from websites on SMS . Sorted promptly. And the service isn’t limited to 4G. Meanwhile still no sign of EE chat service. (Given I spent an hour on the phone and got disconnected three times earlier I’ve given up on their phone customer support- it’s severely lacking)

Dodged a bullet for sure. Thanks for replying though!

When the phone is used for tethering for remote working and connectivity it’s considerably more efficient. Pretty sure you already knew the answer to that question though 🙂
